DeepSwap AI review: I tested its face swap, image, and video tools

Contents
DeepSwap AI is best known for face swapping, but it now has image and video generators too. I tested ShapeFusion photo face swap, NeoRealGirl 2.0 text to image, and DeepVid 3.0 image to video. I compared them with Seedream 5.0 Lite, GPT Image 2.5 Flare, and Seedance 2.0 Fast on SeeGen AI.
DeepSwap was fast and easy to use. ShapeFusion handled the face swap well. GPT Image followed the image prompt better, while Seedance made the more natural video.
What is DeepSwap AI?

DeepSwap AI is a browser based tool for changing faces in photos, GIFs, and videos. The DeepSwap app also includes image and video generation, AI characters, and basic editing tools.
The site has several DeepSwap video generators. I tested DeepVid 3.0 with one starting image. The image acted as the visual reference, but this was the Image to Video workflow. I did not test DeepSwap's separate Reference to Video mode in this review.
How I ran the tests
For the face swap test, I used the same base photo and male face reference in both tools. For text to image, I asked each model to create a 20-year-old Japanese woman filming a Tokyo travel vlog while holding an iced matcha.
GPT Image 2.5 Flare made the better image, so I used that file for both five second video tests with the same motion prompt.
I judged each result by face quality, prompt accuracy, motion, consistency, speed, and price.
DeepSwap AI pricing compared with SeeGen AI

DeepSwap offered a first month price of $9.99 with 20 credits. It then rose to $19.99 per month. For SeeGen AI, I used the $17.99 plan with 3,000 credits. One SeeGen credit costs about $0.006.
| Test | DeepSwap | SeeGen |
|---|---|---|
| Photo face swap | ShapeFusion, 0.1 credit. About $0.05 in month one or $0.10 after renewal | Seedream 5.0 Lite, 7 credits. About $0.042 |
| Text to image | NeoRealGirl 2.0, 0.2 credit. About $0.10 in month one or $0.20 after renewal | GPT Image 2.5 Flare, 1K Medium, 3 credits. About $0.018 |
| Image to video (5s) | DeepVid 3.0 with audio, 1.7 credits. About $0.85 in month one or $1.70 after renewal | Seedance 2.0 Fast, 160 credits. About $0.96 |
DeepSwap's first month discount makes its video slightly cheaper than Seedance. After renewal, the same DeepVid clip costs much more. GPT Image is also far cheaper than NeoRealGirl. These estimates assume all plan credits are used and exclude taxes.
Test 1: ShapeFusion face swap

I selected ShapeFusion because it was the newest DeepSwap face swap model shown during my test. One image cost 0.1 credit.
DeepSwap blended the new face well. It kept the smile from the base photo instead of copying the male reference's full expression. The hairstyle, pose, clothing, and body stayed in place.

The weak point was the skin. The face looked oddly smooth and did not fully match the rest of the image. The swap looked good at first, but the skin gave it away up close.
Seedream 5.0 Lite moved both the man's identity and expression onto the subject while keeping the original hairstyle and body. It felt more like a broad identity edit than a classic face swap.

ShapeFusion was the better choice when I wanted to keep the base expression. Seedream gave me more of the reference person's expression, which may be useful when that is the goal.
Test 2: NeoRealGirl 2.0 vs GPT Image 2.5 Flare
NeoRealGirl 2.0 was the newest realistic female image model offered in DeepSwap during my test. It cost 0.2 credit per image.
The tool only offered 2:3 and 3:2, so I chose 3:2. Its prompt box had a 500 character limit. I had to cut useful details before running it.
DeepSwap quickly produced a clean street portrait, but it missed the main camera idea. The result did not look like a phone selfie from a travel vlog.

On SeeGen AI, GPT Image 2.5 Flare at 1K and Medium quality cost 3 credits and supported 16:9. It followed the prompt more closely. The woman held the camera at arm's length, the matcha was clear, and the face, hands, clothing, and phone lens looked more natural.

GPT Image 2.5 Flare gave me better prompt accuracy, more control over the frame, and a lower cost in this comparison.
Test 3: DeepVid 3.0 vs Seedance 2.0 Fast
I used the GPT Image result for both videos. The woman had to lift her matcha, take a sip, and wave. DeepSwap only offered 5, 10, or 15 seconds, so I set both tools to five seconds.
DeepVid 3.0 cost 1.7 credits for the five second result with audio. The downloaded file was 5.06 seconds long, measured 1664 by 928 pixels, and ran at 16 frames per second.
Seedance 2.0 Fast cost 160 SeeGen credits. Its file was 5.09 seconds long at 1280 by 720 pixels and 24 frames per second. Both files had an audio track, though I focused on visual quality in this review.
Both models completed the actions. The street stayed in place, and her outfit remained stable.
DeepSwap finished much faster and had larger pixel dimensions. Still, its 16 fps motion looked less smooth. Her expression became stiff during the sip, and some facial details changed as she moved.
Seedance looked more natural. The face stayed stable, the hand and cup moved with better flow, and the shift from drinking to waving felt smoother at 24 fps.
DeepVid 3.0 is useful when speed matters most. Seedance 2.0 Fast made the stronger final clip in this test.
What I liked and what needs work
DeepSwap is easy to learn. Moving from an image to animation is quick, and ShapeFusion keeps the base expression well.
The image generator needs more control. A 500 character prompt limit and two aspect ratios feel tight. DeepVid is fast, but its normal monthly cost is high for the motion quality I received. The face and skin also need more work in both swap and video results.
DeepSwap suits quick face swaps and casual tests. GPT Image and Seedance were better when final quality mattered more.
FAQs about DeepSwap AI
Is DeepSwap AI free?
No. People may search for "DeepSwap AI free and unlimited face swap," but the service uses a paid membership and credits. During this test, the first month cost $9.99 with 20 credits. The price then renewed at $19.99 per month.
Is DeepSwap AI face swap unlimited?
No. A ShapeFusion photo face swap used 0.1 credit. That means 20 credits could cover up to 200 photo swaps if you spent every credit on that feature.
What payment methods does DeepSwap accept?
DeepSwap currently has limited payment options. The choices shown at checkout may also depend on your country. Check that your preferred payment method is available before starting the subscription.
Is it easy to cancel a DeepSwap subscription?
I found the cancellation path hard to locate. DeepSwap's subscription terms say users must cancel through the Account Profile page and recommend doing so at least one week before renewal.
Similar complaints appear on Reddit. One user said they submitted the cancellation form several times before contacting support and receiving confirmation. Another user said confirmation arrived only after they followed up by email.
These are individual reports, but it is safer to cancel early, save the confirmation email, and check your next billing statement.
How much does the DeepSwap app cost?
The offer I tested was $9.99 for the first month with 20 credits. The normal renewal price was $19.99 per month. Extra credit packs may have different rates.
Is the DeepSwap image generator good?
NeoRealGirl 2.0 is fast and can make a usable portrait. Its 500 character prompt limit and narrow choice of aspect ratios reduce creative control. GPT Image 2.5 Flare produced a better result in this test.
Is the DeepSwap video generator good?
DeepVid 3.0 completed the prompt and generated the clip fast. Seedance 2.0 Fast gave me smoother motion, a steadier face, and a more natural result.
Final Thoghts
DeepSwap AI is strongest as a face swap tool. ShapeFusion blended the face well and kept the original smile, though its skin texture was not perfect.
NeoRealGirl 2.0 and DeepVid 3.0 were fast, but GPT Image 2.5 Flare made the better image and Seedance 2.0 Fast made the better video.
For fast face swaps, DeepSwap is worth a look. For more detailed image and video generation, I would choose the SeeGen models tested here.
