I tried SoulGen AI Premium: features, pricing, and what you actually get

SoulGen AI puts image generation, video creation, editing, face swap, and AI chat in one website. I wanted to know whether the Premium plan was worth paying for, especially since the site did not give me any free credits after registration.
I paid $12.99 for one month of Premium and received 100 credits. I then checked the available tools, compared the credit costs, and tested text to image and text to video.

SoulGen AI review: quick verdict
SoulGen AI may suit beginners who want several AI tools in one account. Image generation is inexpensive, but video tasks can use a large part of the 100-credit balance. In my tests, GPT Image 2 followed the image prompt more closely, while Seedance 2.5 produced smoother video and completed more of the requested actions. SoulGen's limited payment options, unclear renewal terms, and high video costs made the Premium plan less convincing for me.
My experience with SoulGen AI Premium
Registration was simple, but my new account had no free credits. I could view the tools and settings, yet I could not test the main image or video features without paying.
The one-month Premium plan cost $12.99 and included 100 credits. SoulGen AI also sells extra credit packs, but I could only access them after becoming a Premium user.
The checkout process was unusual. I saw Local Wallet, G2A, Discover or Diners Club, and several cryptocurrency options. I did not see a normal Visa or Mastercard form.

My SoulGen AI generation tests
I first compared SoulGen AI's Real Character tool with GPT Image 2. I then used the GPT Image 2 result as the same reference image for SoulGen 3.0 and Seedance 2.5.
Test 1: SoulGen AI vs GPT Image 2
SoulGen's Real Character tool only supports 2:3 and 3:2. I chose 2:3 for the full-body portrait. GPT Image 2 supports more ratios, so I used 9:16. Both models received the same prompt:

The SoulGen image cost 1 credit, or about $0.13 under the Premium plan.
GPT Image 2 used 10 SeeGen AI credits. Based on the $9.99 package with 1,500 credits, the image cost about $0.07. This makes SoulGen AI nearly twice as expensive per image in this comparison.
GPT Image 2 also followed the prompt more closely. It created the red trench coat, black dress, ankle boots, and transparent umbrella. The face and hands looked natural, while the tram, wet pavement, warm lights, and film grain matched the requested mood.
SoulGen changed several important details. The woman wore a beige coat, white blouse, green skirt, and tall boots. It added a handbag and extra pedestrians. The umbrella was red and opaque instead of transparent, and it did not appear to be held naturally.
The image also contained a SoulGen logo and text-like marks on the umbrella, despite the request for no text or watermark. The face had overly smooth skin, and the eyes and facial proportions looked less natural.
GPT Image 2 produced the better result while costing about half as much. It followed more of the prompt and created a more believable person.
Test 2: SoulGen 3.0 vs Seedance 2.5
For the video comparison, both models used the same GPT Image 2 result as the reference. I generated five-second image-to-video clips with audio using the same prompt:

She slowly opens the transparent umbrella, takes three natural steps forward, and turns her head as a vintage tram passes behind her. The camera tracks her smoothly from the side. SoulGen does not provide a separate aspect ratio option for image-to-video. It follows the ratio of the uploaded image. The SoulGen video was 928 x 1664 at 16 frames per second. Seedance 2.5 produced a 720 x 1280 video at 24 frames per second.
The reference image already showed the umbrella open, while the prompt asked the woman to open it. Seedance followed the text by lowering the umbrella near the beginning and opening it again as she walked. This changed the starting state, but it completed the requested action.
Seedance also showed the woman walking and turning while the tram passed behind her. The side-tracking camera, rain, and street reflections remained stable. Her clothes and identity stayed consistent, although her face became slightly softer during movement.
SoulGen stayed closer to the starting image, but it missed more of the prompt. The umbrella remained open, and the woman did not take three clear steps. Most of the movement came from the tram and a small head turn, which made the result feel like an animated still image.
The SoulGen character kept the same clothing and setting, but her face looked more synthetic during the turn. Text-like marks appeared on the tram. The Seedance 2.5 result had no watermark.
A five-second SoulGen 3.0 video with audio uses 17 credits, or about $2.21. A comparable Seedance 2.5 video on SeeGen AI costs about $2.
The prices were close, but Seedance 2.5 followed more of the prompt and produced smoother motion. SoulGen preserved the starting composition, yet it missed the main walking and umbrella-opening actions.

The $12.99 Premium plan includes 100 credits. That makes each credit worth about $0.1299.

Text-to-image costs 1 credit, or about $0.13 per image. Image-to-image costs 2 credits, or about $0.26 per image.
Video uses credits much faster. SoulGen 3.0 costs 17 credits for a five-second video with audio and 34 credits for 10 seconds. A 10-second SoulOmni 2.0 Turbo reference-to-video task costs 50 credits in the configuration I checked.

Note: SeeGen AI offers 1,500 credits for $9.99. A five-second Seedance 2.5 video uses 300 credits, which costs about $2 or $0.40 per second. Under the tested settings, SoulGen 3.0 costs about $0.44 per second, while SoulOmni 2.0 Turbo costs about $0.65 per second. SoulGen's branded video models are more expensive than Seedance 2.5 in this comparison.
What I liked about SoulGen AI
SoulGen AI gives users several creative tools in one account. A beginner can generate an image, animate it, edit a video, try face swap, and use AI chat without moving between different websites.
Still-image generation is also cheap enough to repeat. Users who mainly create portraits or character concepts can get more value from the 100-credit plan than users focused on video.
The tools do not require coding or API setup. Most tasks work through prompts, uploads, and simple controls.
What I did not like
The lack of free credits means users must pay before checking whether the models suit their needs.
The interface feels dated, and some of the example images do not present the product well. The mix of image, video, face swap, editing, and chat tools also makes the platform feel crowded.
Payment options are limited, and the renewal wording is confusing. Video is expensive enough that one or two failed attempts could use most of the monthly credits.
