SeeVio AI may look like a new AI video platform, but it is not.
It is the new name and domain of Seedance2.ai, a third-party platform that provides access to Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5.
So, is SeeVio AI a good place to use Seedance 2.5?
I tested its signup process, pricing, credit use, and reference options. Here is what I found.
What Is SeeVio AI?
SeeVio AI is the new home of Seedance2.ai.
The platform moved from Seedance2.ai to SeeVio.ai. Existing accounts, credits, subscriptions, and creation history moved with it. Users do not need to create a new account.
Why Did Seedance2.ai Become SeeVio AI?
SeeVio says the new brand gives it more room to add models, tools, and creative workflows instead of being tied to one model.
There is also a clear branding benefit.
Seedance is ByteDance's model name. Using a separate name like SeeVio makes it easier to tell the platform apart from the model itself.
It is possible that avoiding brand confusion was part of the decision. However, I could not find public evidence that a trademark dispute forced the change.
So I would treat that as a possible reason, not a confirmed one.
Can You Try Seedance 2.5 on SeeVio AI for Free?
Not in my test.
I created a new SeeVio AI account and received no free signup credits.
That means I could not generate a Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5 video before paying.
This matters because AI video models often need several attempts before you get a result you like.
For comparison, SeeGen AI currently offers 200 free credits to new users after signup and joining Discord. Those credits can be used with Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5, and other supported models.
SeeVio AI Pricing
SeeVio uses a monthly subscription model.
Its current individual monthly plans are:
- Basic plan: $29.9/M, 800 credits
- Standard plan: $49.9/M, 1600 credits
- Pro plan: $99.9/M, 4000 credits
- Max plan: $199.9/M, 10,000 credits
The Basic plan does not include API access or a commercial use license. Higher plans include more features.
SeeVio also advertises lower pricing for annual billing.
But the plan price alone does not tell you much. The important part is how fast Seedance uses those credits.
SeeVio Seedance 2.5 Credit Cost
For Seedance 2.5 at 480p, SeeVio charges 10 credits per output second when there is no video input.
A five-second video costs:
50 credits
At 720p, the rate doubles:
100 credits for 5 seconds
When you add a reference video, the pricing changes.
SeeVio charges based on the combined length of the input and output video. At 480p, the rate is 6 credits per second. At 720p, it is 12 credits per second.
For example:
8-second reference video + 5-second output
480p:
13 × 6 = 78 credits
720p:
13 × 12 = 156 credits
What About Seedance 2.0?
Seedance 2.0 is cheaper.
Without video input:
- 480p, 5s = 30 credits
- 720p, 5s = 60 credits
With an 8-second reference video and a 5-second output:
- 480p=52 credits
- 720p=104 credits
SeeVio's official pricing page lists Seedance 2.0 at 6 credits per second for 480p without video input and 4 credits per second when video input is included. The 720p rates are double.
SeeVio AI vs SeeGen AI Pricing
The easiest comparison is around the $100 level.
SeeVio Pro costs $99.90/month and gives you 4,000 credits.
SeeGen AI's XL Pack costs $99.99 one time and includes 22,000 credits. The credits do not expire.

SeeGen's current Seedance 2.5 rates are 30 credits per second at 480p and 60 credits per second at 720p without video input. Video-reference jobs use separate rates based on input plus output duration.
In these examples, SeeGen AI is cheaper at a similar $100 spend.
The other difference is payment style.
SeeVio uses a subscription. SeeGen AI uses one-time credit packs, so you can buy credits only when you need them. SeeGen also has larger API packs with lower effective pricing for developers.

Does SeeVio Support Real-Person References?
This was one of the bigger limits in my test.
At the time I tested SeeVio, I could not upload my own private real-person reference for Seedance generation.
Human references were limited to people available in the platform's public asset library.
That may not matter if you only create fictional scenes.
It matters much more for:
- UGC ads
- AI influencers
- Personal avatars
- Brand spokesperson videos
- Customer-specific content
This appears to be a SeeVio platform limit, not a Seedance 2.5 model limit. SeeVio itself says Seedance 2.5 supports up to 50 combined image, video, and audio references.
SeeGen AI supports private real-person assets after review, which makes it more useful for this type of workflow.
What I Like About SeeVio AI
SeeVio is simple to understand.
It gives creators one place to access Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5, and related video tools. Seedance 2.5 supports 480p and 720p generation on the platform, along with multimodal references and longer video workflows.
The higher subscription plans also include API access.
If you already used Seedance2.ai, the move to SeeVio is also easy. Your old account and credits stay in place.
What I Don't Like
The biggest issue for me is the lack of a real free trial.
You need to pay before you can properly test Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5.
The subscription model is another tradeoff. It can work for people who generate every month, but it is less flexible if you only use AI video from time to time.
Private real-person references are also limited compared with some other Seedance providers.
And once you move from 480p to 720p, Seedance credit use doubles.
Is SeeVio AI Worth It for Seedance 2.5?
SeeVio AI is not a bad Seedance platform.
It has a clean workflow, several Seedance models, and API access on higher plans.
But I would not call it the best choice for everyone.
If you use Seedance every month and like subscription plans, SeeVio may work well.
If you want to test first, avoid subscriptions, use private real-person references, or need lower-cost API access, it is worth comparing other options before paying.

For users who want pay-as-you-go pricing or developers who need Seedance 2.5 API access at scale, SeeGen AI is worth comparing before you choose.
