Why I Like MindVideo AI: Free Credits, Pricing, and Real Test Results
Contents

MindVideo AI caught my attention because its model list is current. The platform includes Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana, and several other image and video models.

I created a free account to see what I could generate without paying. I tested its free text-to-video model and GPT Image 2 Free.

The free tools worked, but they came with limits. There were queues, watermarks, public video results, and a daily generation cap.

MindVideo AI review: quick verdict

MindVideo AI is a good choice for casual testing. It gives free users a small daily allowance for images and short videos. My free video took about 15 minutes, while the GPT Image 2 result took 4 to 5 minutes. Both results were better than I expected.

The free plan is less useful for private or finished work. Free outputs have a watermark, and videos made with the free MindVideo model are public. The daily limits also make it hard to test several prompts or settings at once.

What is MindVideo AI?

MindVideo AI is an online image and video generation platform. It combines third-party models with its own free video model.

The model list includes:

  • Seedance 2.5
  • Wan 3.0
  • GPT Image 2
  • Nano Banana
  • MindVideo's own video model

The site supports common workflows such as text-to-video, image generation, image-to-video, and first-and-last-frame generation.

Seeing these models in one place is useful. The problem is that a new account does not receive enough general credits to test most paid video models.

What can you use for free?

MindVideo AI does not give new users a large signup credit bonus. Instead, it has a seven-day check-in task. Each daily check-in gives you 2 credits.

The free account also includes two separate options:

  • One free six-second video generation
  • Two GPT Image 2 Free generations

GPT Image 2 costs 1 credit per image. This means the 2 check-in credits can generate two more images.

During the seven-day check-in period, I could generate up to:

  • One six-second video
  • Four GPT Image 2 images

Two images came from GPT Image 2 Free. The other two used the daily check-in credits.

All free results have a MindVideo AI watermark. The free video tool also states that generated content is public. I would not upload private images, client assets, or unreleased campaign material to this mode.

My MindVideo AI generation tests

Free text-to-video test

I used the MindVideo free model to create a school rooftop fight in a Japanese anime style.

Here is a shorter version of my prompt:

A six-second Japanese shonen anime fight on a school rooftop at sunset. A black-haired 18-year-old boy and a white-haired 18-year-old boy exchange fast punches, a throw, a low sweep, and a spinning kick before sliding apart into fighting stances. Dynamic camera, speed lines, clear impacts, consistent characters, fluid anatomy, and no extra limbs.

The free model only supports six-second videos. Its prompt box has a 1,500-character limit, so long storyboards may need to be shortened.

My task remained in the queue for about 15 minutes. The final video was 6.04 seconds long, with a resolution of 752 by 416 pixels, 24 frames per second, and an audio track.

The model kept the rooftop, sunset, and two fighters. The action was easy to follow, and several shots had clear impact effects. Both characters remained easy to identify.

It did not follow every timed action in the original prompt. Some moves were changed or combined. Still, the result looked good for a free generation.

GPT Image 2 Free test

I also submitted a task through GPT Image 2 Free. The queue showed 37 tasks ahead of mine, but the image was ready in about 4 to 5 minutes.

The result showed a woman holding red roses in a flower shop. Her face and hands looked natural. The roses had good detail, and the warm light gave the image a finished photographic look.

A large MindVideo AI watermark appeared in the upper-right corner. This makes the free result useful for testing, but not for final publication.

GPT Image 2 Free allowed two generations. After that, I could use the 2 check-in credits to create two more images.

MindVideo AI pricing

MindVideo AI has monthly and yearly subscriptions. Paid plans remove watermarks, reduce waiting time, support 1080p output, and allow three tasks to run at once.

For Seedance 2.5, my 720p test without a video reference used 108 credits for four seconds. This equals 27 credits per second.

Monthly plans

Max$69.902,500$0.75/s
SeeGen AI$9.991,500$0.40/s

The SeeGen AI option is a one-time credit pack, not a monthly subscription. On SeeGen AI, a five-second Seedance 2.5 video uses 300 credits, or 60 credits per second. At the $9.99 credit rate, that works out to about $0.40 per second.

For the same 720p generation without a video reference, MindVideo costs about 1.9 to 2.9 times more per second under its monthly plans.

Yearly plans

MindVideo shows the yearly plans as monthly equivalent prices, but the full amount is billed annually.

PlanPriceCreditsSeedance 2.5
Lite$9.90400$0.67/s

Max$39.902,500$0.43/s
SeeGen AI$9.991,500$0.40/s

These estimates use the regular monthly credit allowance. Annual plans include extra bonus credits, so the final cost may be slightly lower. Even with yearly billing, users must pay for a full year in advance.

The 2 credits earned from the daily check-in are not enough to test Seedance 2.5. I also found that the MindVideo Seedance 2.5 mode did not support a real person as a reference.

GPT Image 2 credit packs

MindVideo also sells credits made only for GPT Image 2. Packages start at $3.90 for about 100 images and go up to $19.90 for about 2,300 images. These credits remain valid for one year, but they cannot be used with other image or video models.

The larger GPT Image 2 packs have a low price per image. Still, separating regular credits from GPT Image 2 credits makes the pricing system harder to understand.

What I liked

MindVideo AI has several new image and video models in one account. The free tools also produce usable results. My anime video had clear movement and a consistent visual style. The GPT Image 2 result had natural lighting, a believable face, and good detail.

The image queue moved faster than its size suggested. Waiting 4 to 5 minutes with 37 tasks ahead was reasonable for a free service.

The daily allowance is also enough for light testing. During the check-in event, four images and one short video provide room to try a few ideas without paying.

What I did not like

The free limits are spread across check-in credits, GPT Image 2 Free generations, and a separate video allowance. This takes time to understand.

Free results have a watermark. The free video model also makes results public. Video generation took about 15 minutes, and I could not submit a second video test on the same day.

The platform did not accept WebP for my first-and-last-frame test. Its free model only supports six-second videos, and prompts cannot exceed 1,500 characters.

MindVideo AI has many models, but the 2 daily check-in credits are not enough to test paid video models such as Seedance 2.5. Its regular credits and GPT Image 2 credits also have different rules.

Who Should Use MindVideo AI?

MindVideo AI is a good fit for people who want to test image models without paying first. It also suits casual users who want one short video per day and do not mind waiting in a queue or receiving a watermarked result.

Its dedicated GPT Image 2 packs may be useful for people who generate images in large volumes. The largest pack brings the estimated price below $0.01 per image, although those credits cannot be used with other models.

Paid plans may suit users who need higher resolution, private generations, faster processing, and output without watermarks. Before subscribing, check the credit cost of the models you plan to use. Video generation can be far more expensive than image generation.

FAQs about MindVideo AI Video Generator

Is MindVideo AI free?

MindVideo AI has limited free image and video generation. New users do not receive a large general credit bonus, but a seven-day check-in task gives 2 credits per day.

How many free generations do you get?

In my test, I could generate one six-second video and two GPT Image 2 Free images. The 2 check-in credits paid for two more GPT Image 2 images.

Do free results have a watermark?

Yes. My free image and video results included a MindVideo AI watermark. Paid membership removes watermarks.

Are free MindVideo videos private?

The free MindVideo model states that generated videos are public. Avoid using private or confidential source material.

How long does generation take?

My free video took about 15 minutes. The GPT Image 2 Free task took 4 to 5 minutes, even with 37 tasks ahead in the queue.

Does MindVideo AI accept WebP images?

WebP did not work in my first-and-last-frame test. JPG and PNG are safer choices.

Is MindVideo AI a good place to use Seedance 2.5?

Not really. In my test, a four-second Seedance 2.5 video at 720p used 108 credits. That works out to about $3.02 to $4.56 under MindVideo’s monthly plans, or $0.75 to $1.14 per second.

The same type of generation costs about $0.40 per second on SeeGen AI. MindVideo’s Seedance 2.5 pricing is high, so I would not recommend it for frequent use.

Final thoughts

MindVideo AI gives free users a real chance to test image generation and one short video each day. The results were good enough for prompt experiments and early ideas.

The tradeoffs are clear. Free work has a watermark, video results are public, and the daily limits make repeated testing slow. MindVideo AI makes the most sense for users who want to explore image models and can accept those limits.
