SeeAPI review: Free credits, model access, and pay-once pricing

I signed up for SeeAPI to see what a free account could do and how its prices compare with SeeGen AI.
Signup gave me 60 credits. My first daily check-in added six more, bringing the balance to 66. That was enough to budget for one short video and one image.
The limits became clear as I explored. Some models required paid access despite fitting my balance. Free results had watermarks, content could be made public, and I could not use the API key feature.
This review covers those account limits, my generation test setup, and the cost of Seedance 2.5. It does not rate output quality or API performance.
What is SeeAPI?
SeeAPI brings AI image and video models into one web platform, with API access also offered. Its catalog includes Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, HappyHorse 1.1, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0 and Google Veo.
Model access depends on your account. On my free account, video options included Wan 2.5, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini, and Kling 2.5.
A model appearing in the menu does not mean you can run it for free.
How many free credits did I get?
I received 60 signup credits and six from the first check-in. The full seven-day check-in schedule showed 6, 6, 12, 6, 6, 6, and 18 credits.
That adds up to 60 check-in credits across the week, separate from the signup bonus.
My first-day test budget was:
- sign and first check-in: +66 credits
- 4 seconds seedance 2.0 fast 480p: -56 credits
- Download video without watermark: -3 credits
- 1 seedream 5.0 lite image: -6credits
- Remaining balance: 1 credits
The reward is enough for a small trial, but leaves little room to retry a video.

Video test setup: Seedance 2.0 Fast
I chose Seedance 2.0 Fast at 480p, with a four-second duration and no reference media. The displayed cost was 56 credits, reduced from a crossed-out price of 75.
I also recorded these quotes for four-second, 480p videos without video references:

For the test, I wanted one clear action:

Image test setup: Seedream 5.0 Lite
The video budget left ten credits. Nano Banana 2 at 1K cost ten, while GPT Image 2 showed a price of eight.
Both fit the balance, but both required paid access on my account. I therefore chose Seedream 5.0 Lite at six credits.

This prompt checks object counts, left-right placement, text spelling, and light direction. It gives me specific details to assess without asking for a crowded scene.
What I like
The signup and check-in credits let me explore before buying a plan. I could see which models were available and check their credit costs.
I also liked the option to pay three credits to download a watermark-free version. That gives free users another choice beyond accepting the watermark or buying a full plan.
The one-time packs are useful for people who prefer to avoid a recurring bill. The pricing screenshot states that those credits do not expire.
What I dislike
Free-account content can be made public on the platform. I would avoid using private client material without first checking the relevant account settings and terms.
A payment pop-up appeared after I submitted a task. I found that distracting during a free trial.
The generated result also had a watermark. Removing it cost extra, though the three-credit download option softened that limit.
The other drawback was model access. Having enough credits did not unlock Nano Banana 2 or GPT Image 2. Free API key access was unavailable too, so I could not test a code-based workflow.
SeeAPI pay-once pricing vs. SeeGen AI
SeeAPI offers subscriptions and one-time packs. I focused on the latter.
For this comparison, I used Seedance 2.5 at four seconds and 480p, without a video reference. Both platforms list a charge of 120 credits for that setup, but their credits have different cash values.

The calculation is pack price divided by total credits, multiplied by 120. SeeAPI totals include the bonuses in my screenshot. SeeGen figures use its published API pricing, excluding automatic recharge bonuses.
SeeAPI Creator has a lower upfront cost than SeeGen's $500 pack. SeeGen costs less per video under these figures.
Before buying, confirm that your SeeAPI pack includes Seedance 2.5 and that the 120-credit rate still applies.

Is SeeAPI a good option for Seedance 2.5?
It is an option if you want several video models in one account. I could not test Seedance 2.5 on the free account, so I cannot judge its output here. Check model access and total cost before paying.
Can a free SeeAPI account create an API key?
The feature was unavailable on my free account. SeeGen AI allows free accounts to create an API key for users who want to try the Seedance 2.5 API. Generation still requires enough credits.
Can I download results without a watermark?
My free result had a watermark, but SeeAPI offered a watermark-free download for three credits. Check the option and price shown for your result.
Are free generations private?
Just like Mindvideo, free-account content can be made public on SeeAPI. Check the plan's privacy rules before uploading sensitive material.
Final thoughts
SeeAPI provides enough free credits for a small trial, and the three-credit watermark removal option is useful.
The account limits deserve a close look. Model access, privacy, and API access may matter as much as the credit price. Try the available models first, then check that the paid plan covers the work you want to do.
