A2E AI Review 2026: What I Got from the Free Plan
Contents

A2E AI gives new users 100 free credits. That sounds generous, but the free credits do not unlock every model on the site.

Free users cannot test Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5, Nano Banana, Seedream 5.0, or GPT Image 2.5. These models require a paid plan. The free credits work with A2E's own image and video models.

I tested both free models. Text to image costs 10 credits per image. Image to video costs 40 credits for a five-second clip. Both results had an A2E watermark.

The free plan is enough to test the basic workflow. It is not a free way to test the popular third-party models listed on the site.

What is A2E AI?

A2E AI is a browser-based image, video, voice, and avatar platform. Its tools include:

  • Text to image
  • Image to video
  • AI avatars
  • Lip sync
  • Voice cloning
  • Face and head swap
  • Video upscaling
  • Third-party image and video models

The platform puts these tools under one account and credit balance. This is convenient if you use several types of AI media.

The main question is which features you can test before paying. A2E promotes free image and video generation, but most major third-party models are reserved for Pro and Ultra members.

Is A2E AI really free?

A2E AI gives new accounts 100 credits. The Free plan also lists 30 daily bonus credits.

You do not need a credit card to run the basic test. However, free users have lower processing priority, and their results include watermarks.

A2E also says generated results are kept for three days. You should download anything you want to save.

Here is what 100 credits can produce:

The starting balance is enough to create an image and animate it twice. This gives you a fair look at the basic workflow.

A2E free plan test

A2E text-to-image test

I used A2E's own text-to-image model. It cost 10 credits.

The prompt asked for a fictional 24-year-old East Asian woman at a Tokyo crosswalk on a rainy evening. She wore a beige trench coat and held a clear umbrella. The scene also called for wet streets, neon reflections, and people in the background.

The generated image followed the main parts of the prompt. The face looked realistic, and the umbrella, coat, and hand were formed well. The wet road and blurred pedestrians helped create the requested city setting.

The result had a large A2E watermark near the lower center. It also displayed the generation time and full prompt. These marks take up a noticeable part of the image. The free output is useful for testing, but it is difficult to use as finished content.

A useful part of the interface appears after generation. You can click the Image to Video button beside the image and move straight to the video workspace. A2E carries the image into the next tool, so you do not need to download and upload it again.

A2E image-to-video test

I used the generated image as the reference for a five-second video. The task cost 40 credits.

The video prompt asked the woman to walk through the crossing, look at the camera, smile, and turn her attention back to the street. It also requested moving pedestrians, rain reflections, and a smooth tracking shot.

The model kept the woman's face, clothes, umbrella, and general appearance stable. Her change from a neutral expression to a smile looked natural. Her head also turned without a major change in identity. The hand and umbrella stayed consistent through the clip.

The result did not follow all the requested motion. The woman appeared mostly stationary instead of walking through the crossing. The camera also did not deliver the full backward tracking move. Most of the animation came from her face, head, and the pedestrians behind her.

The downloaded file was just over five seconds and had a resolution of 1920 × 1080. It also had a large A2E watermark across the lower center. Like the image result, it works as a preview rather than a clean final asset.

Which models require a paid plan?

During the test, the free account could not use these models:

  • Seedance 2.0
  • Seedance 2.5
  • Nano Banana
  • Seedream 5.0
  • GPT Image 2.5

Selecting them led to the paid membership requirement. This means the 100 signup credits cannot be used to compare A2E's model with these premium options.

That limit should be clearer before registration. A user may join because the site lists Seedance or GPT Image, only to learn that the free balance works with A2E's own models.

A2E pricing and Seedance 2.5 cost

A2E's main pricing page lists Seedance 2.5 at 120 credits per second for 720p video. A five-second generation would therefore cost 600 credits.

The table below uses the upfront credits included with each plan.

PlanPriceUpfront creditsSeedance 2.5, 720P, 5sEstimated cost
Free$0Free balanceNot availableNot available
Pro$14.901,500600 creditsAbout $5.96
Ultra$59.909,000600 creditsAbout $3.99

Note: SeeGen AI $17.99 = 3,000 credits. Seedance 2.5 720p, 5s = $1.799.

A2E labels Pro and Ultra as one-time purchases with 30 days of plan benefits. Pro also lists 60 daily bonus credits, while Ultra lists 90 per day.

If you claim every daily bonus for 30 days, Pro provides 3,300 total credits and Ultra provides 11,700. Under that calculation, one 600-credit video uses about $2.71 of a Pro balance or $3.07 of an Ultra balance.

The lower Pro figure may look strange. Its daily bonus is larger compared with its purchase price. This calculation only works if you log in and collect all available daily credits.

There is also a pricing conflict on A2E's own site. The main pricing page lists Seedance 2.5 at 120 credits per second for 720p. The separate Seedance 2.5 page lists 105 credits per second.

Check the credit estimate in the generator before paying or submitting a task. The number shown at checkout should be more reliable than either public page.

A2E AI pros and cons

Pros

The free balance is large enough for two complete image-to-video tests. The direct button between the image and video tools also saves time.

Image consistency was good in my short test. The woman's face and clothing stayed close to the reference. The smile and head movement looked natural, even though the larger walking action was missing.

Some Reddit users report similar results. One user said image to video worked well and did not create awkward motion. Others liked the daily credits and the number of tools available. You can read the discussion in the A2E community thread.

Cons

The free plan does not let users test the models that may have brought them to the site. Seedance, Seedream, Nano Banana, and GPT Image remain locked.

The watermarks are also hard to ignore. Both free outputs placed the A2E name across the subject area. The image included the prompt and timestamp as well.

Reddit feedback includes more serious complaints. One user claimed an unlimited plan later became much slower. Another reported repeat billing and trouble getting a refund. Other comments described A2E's premium video prices as too high. These reports appear in an A2E user discussion and a separate community thread.

These comments are personal reports, not verified billing records. Many positive A2E posts also contain referral links or appear in A2E-focused communities. Reddit provides useful warning signs, but it does not offer a neutral sample of all customers.

Who should use A2E AI?

A2E makes sense for people who want to try a simple image-to-video workflow without entering payment details. The free credits are enough to learn the interface and test short animations.

It may also suit creators who need avatars, lip sync, voice tools, and video generation in one account.

It is less suitable if your main goal is to test Seedance 2.5 for free. Professional users should also check the final credit estimate and subscription terms before paying.

FAQs

Does A2E AI have a free plan?

Yes. New users receive 100 credits, and the Free plan lists 30 daily bonus credits.

Do free A2E videos have a watermark?

Yes. Both the test image and video had a large A2E watermark. Paid plans advertise watermark-free results.

Can free users test Seedance 2.5?

No. Seedance 2.5 requires a paid plan.

How much is a five-second Seedance 2.5 video?

The main pricing page lists 720p at 120 credits per second. A five-second video costs 600 credits. A2E's separate model page shows a different rate, so check the generator before submitting.

How long does A2E keep generated files?

The result page says files are kept for three days. Download important results before they disappear.

Final Thoughts

A2E AI gives new users enough credits to test its basic image and video models. The workflow is easy, and moving from an image to a video takes one click.

The limits become clear once you select a premium model. Free credits cannot test Seedance 2.5 or the other major third-party models, and free results have large watermarks. A2E is useful for a basic trial, but paid users should confirm the credit cost and plan terms before buying.
