Picvo AI review: Can you really test Seedance 2.5 for free?

Contents
Picvo AI showed 10 credits before I signed in. I entered a prompt and clicked Generate, but a login window appeared. After I created an account, my balance was only five credits.
That was enough to test one image with GPT Image 2.5 Flare. It was nowhere near enough for Seedance 2.5, which needed 115 credits for a five-second 720p video.
I also ran into a problem with the image settings. I wanted a 16:9 image, but the selected option was not clear. My result came out in 9:16 and included a Picvo watermark.
In this Picvo AI review, I will cover the free credits, my image test, Seedance 2.5 pricing, the interface, and how its prices compare with SeeGen AI.
What is Picvo AI?

Picvo AI is a web platform for creating images, videos, music, and voices. Its model list includes Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5, and GPT Image 2.
The video section has tools for text-to-video, image-to-video, video editing, video extension, motion control, and reference-based generation. Seedance 2.5 supports an Omni Reference mode and a First and Last Frames mode.
The platform uses credits. Each task costs a different number of credits based on the model, resolution, and video length.
Is Picvo AI really free to test Seedance 2.5?
Picvo AI gives new users a small free balance, but the way it appeared during my test was confusing.
Before I logged in, the site showed 10 credits in the top corner. I thought I could use them to test the model. When I submitted the task, Picvo asked me to sign in. My balance then changed to five credits.

Picvo also has a daily check-in reward. You can claim one credit every 24 hours. After my first check-in, I had six credits.
That is enough for a basic image test. GPT Image 2.5 Flare costs three credits at 1K, so I could generate one image and still have credits left.
Seedance 2.5 is a different story. A five-second video at 720p costs 115 credits. The five signup credits cover less than 5% of that cost.
If you started with five credits and relied only on the daily reward, you would need about 110 check-ins to reach 115 credits. For practical purposes, the free offer does not let a new user test Seedance 2.5.
Testing GPT Image 2.5 Flare on Picvo AI
I tested GPT Image 2.5 Flare at 1K resolution. Picvo charged three credits for one image.
This was my prompt:
A 20-year-old American cheerleading captain in the 1990s, wearing a classic varsity uniform, standing in a high school gym, nostalgic film photography, warm lighting, authentic '90s style.

I wanted to generate a horizontal 16:9 image. The final file came out in vertical 9:16 format instead. It also had a Picvo watermark.
The watermark matters if you want to post the image or use it in a project. Picvo's paid plans say they remove watermarks, but the free test does not give you a clean result.
The format problem also made the test less useful. A vertical image needs a different composition from a horizontal one. Even if the model understands the prompt, the wrong aspect ratio can change the whole result.
Picvo AI pricing and cost comparison
Picvo AI credit packs

Picvo sells subscriptions and one-time credit packs. I used its one-time packs for these calculations.
| Picvo Package | Price | Credits | Cost per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $29.90 | 250 | $0.1196 |
| Pro | $49.90 | 500 | $0.0998 |
| Max | $79.90 | 1,150 | $0.0695 |
| Pro Max | $149.90 | 3,000 | $0.0500 |
All four packs say they remove the watermark. The Basic pack does not include commercial usage rights. The other three packs do.
Picvo charges three credits for a 1K GPT Image 2.5 Flare image. The same image can therefore cost between $0.15 and $0.36, depending on the pack.
Seedance 2.5 uses credits per second:
| Resolution | Credits per second | 5-second cost |
|---|---|---|
| 480P | 12 | 60 credits |
| 720P | 23 | 115 credits |
| 1080P | 48 | 240 credits |
The pricing cards also show estimates such as "up to 25 videos" with the Basic pack. That estimate does not reflect the Seedance 2.5 setting I checked. At 115 credits per video, a 250-credit pack covers only two complete five-second 720p videos.
Picvo AI vs SeeGen AI pricing
For a fair comparison, I used these two tasks:
- One GPT Image 2.5 Flare image at 1K
- One Seedance 2.5 video at 720p for five seconds, without a video input
| Platform and package | Price | Credits | GPT image 2.5 Flare, 1K | Seedance 2.5, 720p, 5s |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Picvo Basic | $29.90 | 250 | $0.36 | $13.75 |
| Picvo Pro | $49.90 | 500 | $0.30 | $11.48 |
| Picvo Max | $79.90 | 1,150 | $0.21 | $7.99 |
| Picvo Pro Max | $149.90 | 3,000 | $0.15 | $5.75 |
| SeeGen creator | $17.99 | 3,000 | $0.018 | $1.80 |
| SeeGen XL pack | $99.99 | 22,000 | $0.014 | $1.36 |
SeeGen charges three credits for GPT Image 2.5 Flare at 1K Medium quality. A five-second Seedance 2.5 video at 720p costs 300 credits. Its larger packs have a much lower cost per credit, according to the SeeGen AI pricing page and API documentation.
Using each platform's lowest credit rate, the Picvo image costs about 12.5 times more. The Picvo Seedance 2.5 video costs about 4.8 times more.
Picvo AI pros and cons
Pros
Picvo puts many creative tools in one account. You can move between image, video, voice, and music generation without opening several websites.
The site also shows the required credits before you submit a task. This is useful for video because the price changes with the resolution and length.
Five signup credits are enough for one GPT Image 2.5 Flare test at 1K. The daily reward adds another credit every 24 hours.
Picvo also has several Seedance 2.5 input modes. You can upload images, videos, and audio in Omni Reference mode, or work with a first and optional last frame.
Cons
The free offer is too small for a Seedance 2.5 test. Picvo showed 10 credits before login, but my new account received only five. The minimum video setting I checked needed far more.
My free image also had a watermark. You need a paid pack to remove it.
The interface needs clearer selection states. The resolution buttons for 1K, 2K, and 4K use subtle visual changes. The aspect ratio buttons have the same issue.
I tried to select 16:9, but the page did not make the active option clear. My final image came out in 9:16. A stronger border, check mark, or filled background would make this easier to understand.
This problem is more serious when settings change the credit cost. A user could pick the wrong resolution or format and spend credits on a result they did not want.
Price is the other major weakness. Even Picvo's largest one-time pack leaves its tested image and video costs well above SeeGen AI.
Best Picvo AI alternatives
1. SeeGen AI

SeeGen AI is the strongest alternative if price is your main concern. It supports both Seedance 2.5 and GPT Image 2.5 Flare.
Its one-time credits do not expire, and generated files do not have a watermark. SeeGen also provides a web interface and API access. In this comparison, it was much cheaper for both tested models.
2. Dreamina
Dreamina is a good choice for people who want a visual workspace with templates and editing tools. Its current model list includes Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Mini, Seedream, Sora, and Veo.
It is easier to approach as a general creative tool than a developer platform. Model access and pricing may differ by country.
3. Doubao
Doubao is ByteDance's AI assistant for the Chinese market. It is a practical option for people who write prompts in Chinese or already use ByteDance services.
The main limits for Western users are the Chinese interface, account access, and regional availability.
4. WaveSpeedAI
WaveSpeedAI is aimed at developers and production teams. It provides API access to Seedance 2.5, GPT Image 2.5, Wan, Kling, and many other models.
It makes more sense if you want to add generation to an app or automate many tasks. Picvo is simpler for casual browser use, while WaveSpeedAI gives technical users more model and API choices.
Final Thoughts
Picvo AI works as a small image trial, but it is not a free way to test Seedance 2.5. My account received five credits, while the five-second 720p video required 115.
The free GPT Image 2.5 Flare test also had two practical problems. The image came out in the wrong aspect ratio, and the downloaded result had a watermark.
Picvo may suit someone who wants many AI tools in one place and does not mind paying for convenience. Price-focused users should compare other options first. In my test settings, SeeGen AI was much cheaper for both GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Seedance 2.5.
